Given recent allegations that 3 military service members — all who are in charge of sexual assault programs — committed sexual assaults, Fox News has seriously underreported the topic. While MSNBC spent nearly 5 hours on it in the last 2 weeks, Fox News spent less than 19 minutes.

Sunday, May 20 marks the 150th Anniversary of the Homestead Act, passed on May 20, 1862. It greatly accelerated settlement of the western United States, providing 160 acres of free land to qualified citizens, but this often came at the expense of displaced Native Americans.

Everything touching the main crew in the new Star Trek movie was pretty much pitch perfect. Zachary Quinto has been practicing his Spock voice. But Benedict Cumberbatch’s “sneering supervillain” character is good only as a sneering supervillain. He’s not recognizable as Khan.
In fact, really all of the movie’s problems revolve around the handling of Khan.
